Who we are
SearchNex ("we", "us") operates the SearchNex reporting tool and this website, searchnex.com. Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, go to support@searchnex.com.
What this policy covers
- The SearchNex reporting tool. Marketing agencies use it to collect a client business's search data from Google products, together with its CRM and sales data, and report on it. The business grants access itself, for example by adding data@searchnex.com to its Google accounts.
- This website. The public pages at searchnex.com.
Data the reporting tool collects
Only from the sources a business has granted. Google data comes only through Google's official APIs and exports:
- Google Search Console: search performance data, such as the queries and pages your site appears for, with clicks, impressions and average position.
- Google Analytics: report data such as sessions, channels, landing pages and conversions. Where the business switches on Google's daily BigQuery export, the export's event data, which includes the pseudonymous identifiers Google adds to it.
- Google Business Profile: performance metrics, business information, and reviews as published on Google, including the reviewer's public display name.
- Google Ads: campaign performance, keywords, search terms and spend.
- CRM and sales data: the leads and sales a business agrees to include, such as date, stage, value, revenue, cost, channel, location and landing page. Email addresses and phone numbers are replaced by a keyed hash before anything is stored; names, addresses and free-text notes are dropped.
- Agency staff who sign in to the tool: their Google account email address and name.
How we use it
- To produce the reporting and recommendations the business's agency delivers to it.
- To run, secure and troubleshoot the tool.
We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of individual people.
Google API Services User Data Policy
SearchNex's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep it
- Collected Google data: while the agency's engagement with the business is active. It is deleted within 30 days after the business removes our access or the engagement ends, or sooner on request.
- Database backups: up to 14 days, so deleted data leaves the last backup within 14 days.
- Short-lived copies of collected data: 30 days.
- Hashed lead and sales outcomes: up to 25 months from the outcome's date.
- Staff sign-in details: while the person has access to the tool.
Your choices and rights
A business can stop collection at any time by removing data@searchnex.com, or the SearchNex organisation or manager account, from its Google products. The access table on our home page shows where. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, email support@searchnex.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR. We respond within 30 days.
Security
Everything is served over HTTPS. Stored credentials are encrypted. Access to the tool is limited to authorised people, and the accounts that hold client access are protected by 2-step verification with passkeys or security keys.
This website
Our hosting provider records technical details of each visit (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security and to keep the site running. The site's typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers. We use no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If you contacted us through the booking form this site used until October 2026, we keep that request for up to 24 months after our last contact.
Children
The tool and this website are for businesses and are not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
